I am a comic artist, architect and irenologist based in Granada. My first graphic novel, La Granada de Carlos V, abour the Emperor Charles V and his honeymoon in Granada, was published in November 2022 by Editorial Baker Street. My new book, La Danza de la Eternidad, written by Jesús Quirosa and illustrated by me, will be published by Binomio Editorial in March 2024.

Goodbye, DeviantArt

Today I have published #MyLastDeviation in this community. Even if I was already thinking about that after more than 15 years, I have made up my mind this week after discovering that some of the art that I upload here has been stolen by Laion and used in their datasets to train several generative AIs, and among them, #DreamUp. #DeviantArt has stated that "does NOT add images from DeviantArt to the training sets of 3rd-party technologies, and DeviantArt does NOT provide data to expand distribution of images that 3rd-party technologies can generate" but this has been proven to be utterly false. Not only because the art I made and that was stored in DeviantArt has been used to train DreamUp (through Laion), also because my art was under a Creative Common Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 License, which has been clearly violated.
